Terms of Service

1. Service

Remio ("we", "us") provides a web tool that extracts highlighted text from PDF files and generates Anki flashcards using an AI language model. By using Remio you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Credits

New accounts receive 20 free credits. Additional credits can be purchased in packs. Credits are non-refundable and expire only if your account is deleted. One credit is consumed per flashcard generated.

4. Acceptable use

You may only upload PDF files for which you hold the necessary rights. You agree not to use Remio to violate any law or third-party rights, attempt to circumvent rate limits or security controls, or reverse-engineer the service.

5. Content

Uploaded PDFs are processed in memory and are not stored on our servers. Generated flashcards are returned to you and not retained. You retain all rights to your content.

6. Payments

Credit purchases are processed by Stripe. All fees are shown before checkout. Sales are final; we do not offer refunds except where required by law.

7. Disclaimer

Remio is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated flashcards.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remio's total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 90 days preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of Remio after changes constitutes acceptance.
